My Challenge

Here are the rules of my challenge:

  • I have to run every day from June 25, 2012, until June 25, 2013 - my 29th birthday.
  • I have to run at least one mile per day.
  • I have to run 1,000 miles in the year - an average of 2.75 miles a day, almost 20 miles a week.
I am not a runner. I have never been particularly sporty or active (apart from very reluctantly going to the gym once in a while) and that's why this is a big challenge for me. Rather than training for one big event, I wanted to play the 'long game' and dedicate myself to something for a whole year. And what better motivation to get out and see what I can achieve than raising money for Smile Train and changing lives, including, possibly, my own?
